David J. Lacki, Esq.

David Lacki is principal of Lacki & Company, where he leads a growing law practice centered on business law, merger and acquisitions, immigration, and estate and asset protection.  As part of his practice, Mr. Lacki provides legal advice on special projects for Fortune 100 companies, including AT&T and Comcast.

Over the last 20 years, Mr. Lacki has worked extensively with large national and international companies on projects in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia in the high-tech sector, including the telecom and software industries.  He has served as in-house counsel with Nextel Communications, Inc. and Wireless Facilities, Inc., in which he advised senior management on a $500-million publicly traded company with world-wide operations.

Mr. Lacki’s successes for his corporate clients include (i) the negotiation of a $70-million, multi-year network development project with a major domestic wireless carrier; (ii) the development of a software licensing model for a client’s advanced technology services group, allowing them to develop, analyze and integrate third-party software planning tools; and, (iii) the brokering of spectrum clearing agreements on a national basis, permitting the optimization of wireless spectrum.  Recently, Mr. Lacki has closed several acquisitions and capital investments for his clients valued at more than $84 million, including acquisitions by Globecomm Systems, Inc. and WeDo Technologies. 

Outside of his practice, Mr. Lacki has been a speaker on several homeland security issues, including the program “Critical Infrastructure Information Act of 2002: The Essential Asset for Homeland Security,” hosted by the Association for Enterprise Integration.  He also has provided pro bono services for mandatory court-ordered mediation sessions for the DC Superior Court (Washington, D.C.), which is part of the nationally recognized “Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Program.” In addition, he is on the Board of Directors for the Eagle Bank Foundation, and is a member of the Maryland State Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Maryland Bar Association, Montgomery County (MD) Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Mr. Lacki graduated from the George Washington University, magna cum laude, with a degree in political science and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston.  He has training and prior certification in Six-Sigma processes, working as a Black Belt.  His expertise in operational and program management has been used extensively in assisting companies to achieve their own certifications under ISO standards, and establishing outsourcing and audit controls under SSAE No. 16 (replacement of SAS70).

Mr. Lacki lives with his wife and daughter in Rockville, Maryland.
