David Lacki

David Lacki is the principal of Lacki & Company, LLC, a boutique law firm serving emerging and middle-market companies across the United States and abroad. Mr. Lacki advises businesses on corporate and transactional matters, guiding clients through growth and investment strategies, merger prospects, sustainability initiatives, brand value, and earnings quality.

With three decades of experience, Mr. Lacki leads a respected practice focused on business law, mergers and acquisitions, immigration, and estate and asset protection. He has served as trusted counsel to Fortune 100 companies, including AT&T and Comcast, as well as to national and international businesses across a wide range of industries.

Mr. Lacki’s background spans manufacturing, engineering, information technology, healthcare, education, finance, scientific research, architecture, and construction, giving him a deep understanding of the operational and workforce challenges that clients face in these sectors.

In his immigration practice, Mr. Lacki represents both employers and high-level professionals in all aspects of business immigration law. He works closely with companies navigating mergers and acquisitions to ensure that foreign employees retain lawful status during organizational transitions. His counsel also covers I-9 compliance, E-Verify procedures, and global hiring best practices. Mr. Lacki has successfully secured temporary and permanent visas for clients in categories including H-1B, L, O, TN, EB-1, and EB-2.

Before founding Lacki & Company, Mr. Lacki served as in-house counsel with Nextel Communications, Inc. and Wireless Facilities, Inc., advising senior management on complex legal and operational issues, including cross-border transactions.

Mr. Lacki is a member of the Maryland State Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Maryland Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston and graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University with a degree in political science. He also holds Six Sigma Black Belt certification, with expertise in operational management, ISO compliance, and SSAE No. 16 audit controls.

Mr. Lacki is active in his community, serving on the Eagle Bank Foundation Committee, where he helps raise funds for breast cancer research and patient care. He resides in Rockville, Maryland, with his wife and daughter.
