David J Lacki graduated from the George Washington University, magna cum laude, and received his doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Houston. Prior to establishing his current practice, he worked with several Fortune 100 firms and most recently was responsible for advising senior management of a $500 million publicly traded company with world-wide operations. Over the last ten years Mr. Lacki has worked in both private practice and as in-house counsel.
Mr. Lacki has extensive experience in the high-tech sector, including the telecom and software industries and has worked on projects in the U.S. and abroad in Europe, Latin America and Asia. His successes for his corporate clients include negotiation of a $70 million multi-year network development project with a major domestic wireless carrier; development of a software licensing model for a client’s advanced technology services group, allowing them to develop, analyze and integrate third party software planning tools; generation of an additional $33 million in annual sales through implementation of an internal contracting procedure aligning sales staff and supply chain management teams, satisfying both financial reporting requirements and the use of automated purchasing programs; reduction in a carrier’s network capital and operational expenditures allowing for the continued expansion into the top 20 national markets by assisting with the sale/lease back of certain network assets to a third party.
Professionally, he has been a speaker on several homeland security issues, including the program “Critical Infrastructure Information Act of 2002: The Essential Asset for Homeland Security,” hosted by the Association for Enterprise Integration. And personally, he has used his skills in providing pro bono counsel services for mandatory court-ordered mediation sessions for the DC Superior Court, which is part of the nationally recognized “Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Program.”
